Hon. Awutah Donates Medical Equipment Worth FCFA 10.8 Million to Andek Health Centre
The Member of Parliament for Momo West Constituency in the North West Region, Hon. Awutah Philip Atubah, has donated medical equipment valued at FCFA 10,800,000 to the Andek Medicalised Health Centre in Ngie Sub-Division, further strengthening healthcare delivery in the area.
The donation was officially handed over on behalf of the lawmaker by the 1st Deputy Mayor of Ngie Council, Mr. Chekoh John, to the Medical Officer in charge of the Andek Medicalised Health Centre, during a brief but symbolic ceremony.
The medical equipment, intended to improve the quality of care and enhance the operational capacity of the health facility, comes at a time when rural health centres continue to face increasing demand amid limited resources.
Receiving the equipment, the Medical Officer expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Awutah Philip Atubah, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. The health official noted that the donation will significantly boost service delivery and improve patient care for the population of Andek and neighbouring communities.
Notably, this donation is not the first of its kind by the Momo West lawmaker to the Andek Medicalised Health Centre. In 2023, Hon. Awutah Philip Atubah similarly donated medical equipment worth FCFA 7 million to the same facility, underscoring his sustained commitment to improving healthcare services at the grassroots level.
This consistent support reflects Hon. Awutah Philip Atubah’s dedication to the wellbeing of his constituents and his broader vision of strengthening public health infrastructure across Momo West. Health personnel and community members have once again commended the initiative as a testament to responsive, people-centred leadership.
