HON. INJOH NAMED YOUTH CONNEKT AMBASSADOR

Hon. Injoh Foo Ngang Prodencia takes on a new mandate to champion youth entrepreneurship and innovation in the North West Region.
The Member of Parliament for Momo East (Mbengwi), has been appointed Youth Connekt Ambassador for the North West Region, in recognition of her new role in advancing youth entrepreneurship, innovation and civic engagement.
The appointment was made by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, during the closing ceremony of the Zonal Youth Connekt Challenge, held at the Conference Hall of the West Governor’s Office in Bafoussam on 22 October 2026.
The ceremony also featured field visits to youth-led enterprises supported by the Three-Year Special Youth Plan (PTS-Jeunes) and Youth Connekt Cameroon, two initiatives spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC) to translate young people’s ideas into sustainable businesses. The programmes promote entrepreneurship in strategic sectors, including agri-food, biotechnology and the digital economy.
A major highlight was the installation of the Regional Chambers of Youth Entrepreneurship Icons and Youth Connekt Ambassadors across Cameroon’s ten regions, reinforcing efforts to connect young entrepreneurs with opportunities, mentorship, funding and markets.
In her new capacity, Hon. Injoh is expected to mobilise and mentor emerging business talents in the North West, facilitate engagement between young entrepreneurs and MINJEC, and encourage strong regional participation in the seventh edition of the Youth Connekt Cameroon National Convention. The national event is scheduled to take place in Yaoundé from 9 to 13 November 2026.
Following her appointment, the Momo East lawmaker expressed gratitude to Minister Mounouna Foutsou and pledged to advance youth entrepreneurship and civic participation in the North West Region, despite the challenges confronting the area.
Aligned with the continental Youth Connekt Africa framework, Youth Connekt Cameroon seeks to empower young people by connecting them to skills development, financing opportunities, mentorship and markets. Under the theme “From Opportunity to Enterprise,” the initiative places entrepreneurship at the centre of efforts to unlock the potential of Cameroon’s youth.
Hon. Injoh’s appointment therefore places her at the forefront of a regional drive to turn youthful ambition into viable enterprise, strengthen innovation and expand economic opportunities for young people across the North West.
