Hon. Ngalle Daniel Awards FCFA 2.2 Million in Scholarships to 44 Learners

The Member of the National Assembly for Bamusso

Hon. Ngalle Daniel Etongo, has awarded FCFA 2.2 million in scholarships to 44 pupils and students from across the constituency, as part of efforts to help families meet the rising costs of sending children back to school.

The scholarships, presented at the Bamusso Council Hall, formed part of the parliamentarian’s 2026 Back-to-School Campaign, bringing together beneficiaries representing different clans within the constituency.

Each of the 44 beneficiaries received FCFA 50,000, with the combined assistance amounting to FCFA 2.2 million. The support is intended to help families cover some of the expenses associated with the start of the new academic year, including textbooks, uniforms and other school materials.

For many households, the reopening of schools brings a significant financial burden, particularly as parents are required to meet several expenses within a short period. The scholarship programme seeks to provide immediate relief to selected families while encouraging children and young people to remain focused on their education.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Ngalle Daniel Etongo urged them to use the assistance responsibly and remain committed to their studies and academic aspirations.

The initiative reflects the lawmaker’s broader emphasis on education as an investment in the future of the Bamusso community. By directing financial support towards school-going children, the programme seeks not only to ease the pressure on families but also to encourage educational attainment among young people in the constituency.

For the beneficiaries and their families, the assistance comes at a critical moment, offering practical support as they prepare for the start of another academic year.
